GLP-1 Drug Injury

GLP-1 Drug Injury

Thousands of Americans who were prescribed GLP-1 medications for diabetes or weight loss have suffered severe, life-altering side effects — including stomach paralysis, intestinal obstruction, and permanent vision loss. The manufacturers of these drugs are now facing federal lawsuits alleging they knew about these risks and failed to warn patients. If you or a loved one was seriously injured after taking a GLP-1 medication, you may be entitled to compensation.
Lusko Law is now reviewing GLP-1 drug injury cases for for patients and families who have suffered injuries related to the use of GLP-1 medications. Your consultation is completely free. There are no attorney fees unless we recover for you.

What Are GLP-1 Drugs — and What Went Wrong?

GLP-1 receptor agonists — including semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound) — are prescription medications originally developed to treat Type 2 diabetes that were later approved and widely marketed for weight loss. Millions of patients were prescribed these drugs, often without adequate information about the serious risks involved.
Lawsuits against Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly allege that these manufacturers were aware of serious safety risks and chose not to adequately warn patients or prescribers. In August 2025, a federal judge denied the manufacturers’ motion to dismiss, confirming that core failure-to-warn claims can proceed. As of April 2026, more than 3,500 lawsuits are pending across two active federal multidistrict litigations.

You May Have a Claim If…

You may qualify to file a GLP-1 drug injury claim if you were prescribed a qualifying medication — including Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Victoza, Saxenda, Rybelsus, or a similar GLP-1 drug — and suffered a serious injury as a result. Conditions currently active in the federal litigation include gastroparesis (stomach paralysis), intestinal obstruction, ileus, and non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), a form of permanent vision loss.
You should also be able to show that you were not adequately warned about the risk of these side effects before beginning treatment, and that your injury required medical attention, hospitalization, or ongoing care. If you are unsure whether your situation qualifies, contact us — that is exactly what the free consultation is for.
